Push-on no-hub coupling for 4 in cast-iron DWV pipe — the FastHub pushes onto the pipe ends with no disassembly, and its two stainless clamps tighten to 60 in-lb. It joins hubless cast iron to cast iron, and makes cast-iron-to-PVC transitions in the same size.

Key features

Push-on installation — no disassembly of the coupling
Two clamps on a 2-1/8 in wide coupling
Beaded neoprene gasket per ASTM C564
300-series stainless steel shield, band, housings, screw and eyelets
Above- and below-grade DWV service, -30°F to 220°F

Frequently asked questions

What does the FastHub 4 in coupling connect?

It joins two ends of 4 in hubless cast-iron DWV pipe, and it also makes 4 in cast-iron-to-PVC transitions. It is a push-on coupling — no disassembly is needed to install it.

How is the FastHub coupling installed?

Push the coupling onto the pipe ends, then tighten the two clamps to 60 in-lb with a 5/16 in hex driver. There is nothing to take apart first, which is where the labor saving comes from.

What standards and certifications does it carry?

FastHub couplings meet ASTM C1277, ASTM C564 and ASTM C1460 and CISPI 310, and are certified by NSF, IAPMO and CSA B602. They are rated for above- and below-grade DWV service from -30°F to 220°F.

What is the coupling made of?

The shield, band and housings are 301 stainless steel, the screw is 300 stainless and the eyelets are 305 stainless. The gasket is beaded neoprene made to ASTM C564.

What is included, and how do I confirm the size?

One FastHub coupling with both clamps. This is the 4 in size, Ideal Tridon part 6220L8G; the size is also marked on the coupling band, so match it to your pipe size before ordering.
